PogChamp pets are the group of pets which belong to the PogChamp faction in Mobile Minigames. PogChamp pet have some of the most unique and diverse abilities out of all the pet factions.
In general, some of their abilities can drastically improve your loot output from many areas of the game.
In this guide we will go over the various PogChamp pet auto-skill abilities and passive abilities, analyze the potential effectiveness of each, and determine the combination of abilities which might have the biggest impact on your overall progression.
PogChamp pets have a total of 7 auto-skill (combat) abilities.
They are the following:
Before unlocking the ability to use one of these auto-skills, you must first have an active PogChamp pet guardian. This only happens once you have captured the PogChamp hatchery, and have unlocked the PogChamp section in Streamer Talents by collecting 10K default faces.
For more information on how to setup auto-skill abilities and apply them to certain heroes, take a look at the Pet Abilities Guide.
In the sections below, we will look at some of the best strategies possible with these auto-skill abilities.
The way this ability was written is rather confusing.
The ability will likely do one of the following:
- Grant each of your heroes 5% additional power in battle
- Grant the hero with the applied ability an additional 30% power (since a team consists of 6 heroes)
Whichever it is, this ability is awesome since the additional power still ends up being quite significant. Every type of hero will benefit greatly from this ability, so it doesn't matter which class it gets applied to.
In the TriHard Pet Strategies Guide, a strategy is discussed which makes a Warrior extremely tanky through the help of a ton of added armor.
The aim of this strategy is to counter extremely tanky and hard to kill Warriors.
The Warrior Trap ability simply increases damage against Warriors. While simple, it's very good at getting the job done.
In addition to equipping the Warrior Trap ability on your PogChamp pet guardian, you want to equip some armor break abilities on your hero(es). This will grant you the additional damage you'll need to be able to cut through tanky Warriors!
The best armor break class is a Rogue.
Additionally, you have two potential ability-sets which will grant you a ton of damage against high armor Warriors.
Ability-Set #1:
This ability-set will grant you the most overall armor break at the cost of initially less armor break, and 15% less attack. However, you will have more armor break in the long run, apply a bleed effect, and deal 35% more damage against the Warrior.
Ability-Set #2:
This ability-set will grant you higher attack and higher initial armor break.
It's hard to say which ability-set is better since it all comes down to the calculations which are involved between attack, armor, and armor break.
However, it’s likely that ability-set #1 will deal more damage against an extremely tanky Warrior.
Either way, it’s important to test out this strategy against a variety of Warriors. Whichever ability-set you use in combination with the Warrior Trap ability, you will deal a ton of damage either way!
PogChamp pets have a total of 9 unique passive abilities.
They are the following:
These abilities are some of the most unique and diverse of all the pet passive abilities.
In addition to the best abilities for daily use, you have many potential strategies which spawn out of these abilities:
- Chest Opening Strategy
- Easter Eggs Strategy
- Gem Event Strategy
All of these strategies will be discussed in the sections that follow.
So, what are the best passive abilities for daily use?
The best combination of passive abilities is likely the following:
Although these abilities do not work directly with each other, they have incredible potential on their own.
Increasing your chance to earn free rebuys is extremely significant.
Why choose Deal Specialist?
Sometimes, this might allow you to get an additional free item (or items) after purchasing it, which will net you a ton of value for free.
Although you won’t always be lucky enough to get free items, you still might on occasion! After purchasing a ton of loot from the Marketplace, you will definitely notice quite a few instances where you'll get free rebuys.
Why choose Uncanny Luck?
Some of the best loot in the game will come from chests. More specifically, some of the best loot in the game will come from upgraded chests!
As you open a chest, you have the chance to upgrade it with a multiplier. The higher the multiplier goes, the better loot you will receive from the chest.
Here are some examples of loot received from chests upgraded with a full 100x multiplier:
As you can tell, all of this loot is extremely valuable. On a regular basis, you will be opening a ton of chests due to your daily quests, expeditions, and achievements.
Why choose Trade Master?
If you improve the odds of upgrading these chests, you will receive a lot more loot in the long run.
While chests have some of the best chances of dropping some incredible loot, the Merchant building provides some of the best deals in the game.
In fact, you can find trades which are potentially worth millions of Gems!
If the odds of better deals increase, you’ll likely end up finding some pretty insane deals. In fact, there is a chance you could even find a trade which gives you a Madness Chip!
All in all, while these percentages are quite small and the impact may not be noticeable right away, as your pet improves (stars & level), you will likely start to notice these benefits.
Since the Merchant, Marketplace & chests are an integral part of Mobile Minigames, we believe the best potential ability-set focuses on optimizing the loot output from these three areas.
This is likely the best combination of passive abilities to equip on your active PogChamp pet for regular use.
The chest opening strategy focuses purely on loot output from chests, and is probably the second best combination of passive abilities.
This strategy uses the following PogChamp passive abilities:
This combination of passive abilities is likely the closest contender to the abilities in the previous section.
In Mobile Minigames, you will be collecting a ton of chests from Achievements and daily quests.
On a daily basis, you will be collecting at least 10 chests from Daily Quests.
Over the course of 30 days, this is at least 300 chests. This means that, statistically speaking, with a 9-star PogChamp pet, you should be receiving at least 15 extra chests for free from the Treasure Hunter ability.
When this is combined with the Uncanny Luck ability to increase the chance of upgrading the chests, you have the potential to receive some incredible loot.
In addition to collecting a ton of chests from Daily Quests, you will likely be earning several hundred achievements extremely easily, therefore earning you a ton of additional chests from Achievement Specialist.
When starting out, it is very easy to collect a lot of achievements (from Easter Eggs, early progression, etc). This will net you a lot of easy chests.
When the Achievement Specialist and Treasure Hunter abilities are used together, it’s likely that you will receive an additional 30+ chests for free over the course of a month.
In the long run, this combination of passive abilities will net you a ton of loot!
It is hard to say whether these passive abilities will work better than the ones listed in the previous section, but they will definitely still be very effective.
A great way to take advantage of this strategy is to do the following:
- Collect a ton of achievements (through methods found in the Achievement Farming Guide).
- DO NOT open any achievement chests.
- Equip the Uncanny Luck and Achievement Specialist abilities on your active PogChamp pet.
- Open all achievement chests, earning you tons of free chests and multipliers on said chests.
By holding off on opening a lot of your achievement chests for a long time, you are priming yourself for a mass chest opening spree with the proper abilities for it.
When you have a lot of achievement chests to open, this strategy is almost certainly better than the strategy listed in the previous section!
When starting out in Mobile Minigames, there are a ton of Easter Eggs which are open and ready to be collected.
When you collect an Easter Egg, you receive the following loot:
- At least 135K Gems
- An achievement chest
- A Legendary Star
This is loot that you're guaranteed to get by collecting an Easter Egg. Since there are 150 Easter Eggs in Mobile Minigames, you have the potential to earn a lot more loot.
To increase your Easter Egg loot output, use the following PogChamp passive abilities:
This is the best combination of passive abilities to use when trying to maximize Easter Egg loot output. One of the best times you can equip these abilities is when starting out a new game in Mobile Minigames, since you wouldn’t yet have collected any Easter Eggs yet.
This strategy optimizes loot in the following ways:
- Increases Gem reward from each Easter Egg collected
- Increases chance of a free chest when opening the Easter Egg achievement chests
- Increases chance of upgrading the achievement chests
Since there are only 150 Easter Eggs in Mobile Minigames, this combination of abilities is only effective early on when you plan on collecting your Easter Eggs.
Check out the Easter Eggs Guide for the current list of discovered Easter Eggs.
This is the one strategy in this guide which is… questionable, to say the least.
However, it can bring your account a ton of value in a variety of late-game scenarios.
The strategy uses the following combination of PogChamp passive abilities:
These are the only two passive abilities required for the strategy; the third passive ability is up to you.
The strategy involves the following steps:
- Enter the Marketplace.
- Buy every deal in the Marketplace.
- Refresh the Marketplace.
- Repeat
Why do the strategy?
It might seem like a crazy strategy, but it’s very likely that you could potentially be earning a ton of value instead of losing value on the refreshes.
You would do the strategy for the following reasons:
- To complete the Gem Event
- To rack up on a ton of Weekly Event resources
- To potentially earn more value on free rebuys than it costs to refresh the Marketplace
With a high enough Marketplace refresh price reduction and a high enough rebuy chance, you might be able to earn more value on rebuys than it costs to refresh the Marketplace.
At the very least, even if you don’t get more value, you will rack up a ton of resources for Weekly Event use, which is incredibly valuable!
It's always better to rack up a ton of Weekly Event resources ahead of time, which is what this strategy takes advantage of.
Worst case scenario, you are still working towards completing the Gem Event, which is still great.
When should you try this strategy?
It’s likely that this strategy would only be effective when you are in extreme late-game scenarios. During the late-game, you have access to a variety of buffs which bring this strategy to life. In the early-game, you don't have enough account related buffs to get much value out of this strategy.
You should try this strategy once you've satisfied the following conditions:
- You own a max star, max-level PogChamp pet (for 5%+ passive ability buffs)
- You have collected tons of achievements, increasing the pet passive ability buffs drastically
- You have collected tons of Marketplace loot, increasing the free rebuy chance drastically
- You have the Gem Event bonus applied (-10% Gem Cost)
- You are working towards completing another Gem Event
If you've satisfied the conditions above, you should look into trying this strategy with your active PogChamp pet.
This can potentially be a great way to accumulate a ton of resources from the Marketplace to help complete future Weekly Events!
