The Upgrade Event is one of the main weekly events found in Clash of Streamers. To complete the Upgrade Event, you need to upgrade as many heroes as possible during the week with the hopes of reaching the event milestones, and claiming the final event artifact reward.
To improve your chances of completing the event, you need to collect as many heroes as possible from TriHard Scrolls and much more.
This guide will discuss the best ways to collect TriHard Scrolls and heroes to allow you to maximize your chances of completing the Upgrade Event.
However, before you read this guide, it's a very good idea to first read and understand the Weekly Events Beginner's Guide. This guide will give you all of the most basic and essential knowledge you need to know before you look to start completing Weekly Events.
Now let's get into the Upgrade Event guide!
Knowing the requirements for the different Weekly Event rarities can be a huge help in determining ahead of time whether or not you can complete the event. However, since the Upgrade Event requirements are in upgrade points and not heroes, it's a bit more difficult to determine if you can actually complete the Upgrade Event ahead of time.
Nevertheless, here are the requirements for the different Upgrade Events:
While this information may not be as useful as other events, it can still be useful to refer back to when approaching the next Upgrade Event that you think is achievable.
Which Upgrade Event rarities should you aim to complete?
For the most part, you only want to focus on completing one Upgrade Event rarity, and it is the following:
- Rare Upgrade Event
After saving up your heroes and TriHard Scrolls for several weeks, this is likely the only Upgrade Event rarity you'll be able to complete.
While this is true for the most part, it's very possible that you could get lucky with some 1000x summons when completing the rare Upgrade Event. If this happens to you - great! You can probably also complete the epic Upgrade Event which is a great bonus to your overall account progression.
However, we're not going to be banking on any crazy summoning luck. Throughout the rest of the guide we'll go over all of the essential ways for you to get TriHard ScrollTriHard Scrolls and heroes so that you can regularly complete at least the rare Upgrade Event on a regular basis.
Since you need heroes in order to complete the Upgrade Event, you need to collect as many heroes as you possibly can.
To collect heroes, you should do the following:
- Always purchase any heroes you find in the Marketplace (both discounted and undiscounted).
- Spin the Bad Luck Jackpot using 1-2 VIP Tickets at a time.
The Marketplace should be your primary method of getting heroes each day. If you are using all of your free Marketplace refreshes every 8 hours and always purchase heroes, you will quickly gather up a ton of them.
You'll most likely be able to purchase at least 10 heroes a day, which adds up to almost 300 heroes by the time each rare Upgrade Event comes around. Not only will this allow you to have an easier time completing the rare Upgrade Event, it also allows you to get much more powerful heroes much quicker. Since heroes in the Marketplace are often around 3-4 star heroes, they can be extremely significant to accumulate in the long run.
Take a look at the Marketplace Guide to learm more about different Marketplace related purchase strategies.
It also just so happens that the Bad Luck Jackpot is another great place to earn heroes. By spinning the Bad Luck Jackpot using 1-2 VIP Tickets at a time, you'll be able to earn quite a few 1-2 star heroes.
However, you should see this method as a last resort way of acquiring heroes. If you've done everything else in this guide and still don't have enough heroes to complete the event, then you should try to spin the Bad Luck Jackpot for heroes.
This is because you don't get heroes from the Bad Luck Jackpot at the best rate. You'll likely spend around 300 VIP Tickets and maybe get about 100-150 heroes back if you're lucky.
Although both of these methods of acquiring heroes are great, you will get far more heroes from your TriHard Scrolls.
TriHard Scrolls will get you the majority of your heroes for the Upgrade Event. If you're lucky, you could possibly get some 1000x summons and might even be able to complete the following Upgrade Event.
So, what are the best ways to collect TriHard Scrolls?
To collect TriHard Scrolls, you should do the following:
- Always purchase any TriHard Scrolls you find in the Marketplace (both discounted and undiscounted).
- Progress as far as you can in the Campaign for maximum TriHard Scroll rewards.
- Purchase TriHard Scrolls from the seasonal event shop during a seasonal event if you don't need to purchase anything else from the shop.
Similarly to how you should always purchase heroes from the Marketplace Marketplace, you should always purchase TriHard Scrolls as well. Combining TriHard Scroll purchases with hero purchases will give you the highest possible amount of heroes from the Marketplace Marketplace.
The Campaign also happens to be a great source of TriHard Scrolls. For example, at Campaign prestige 14, you are earning roughly 15 TriHard Scrolls as a daily reward. Over the course of the month, this is around 350 TriHard Scrolls, which is a huge deal.
Ensuring you have progressed reasonably far in the Campaign is a great way to earn a lot more TriHard Scrolls. You simply need to make sure that you are progressing through the Campaign at times where it will have the most impact on your account progression. This usually happens when you are working on progressing through the Gem Event or during an active seasonal event.
Take a look at the Campaign Climbing Guide to learn more about the best ways to progress through the Campaign.
The seasonal shop is a great place to buy loot of any kind, since it gives you extreme flexibility with its purchases. Whenever you are struggling to figure out what to buy, you should buy TriHard Scrolls.
For example, in the Get Lucky Event Guide, we discussed purchasing Get Lucky Chips when you are in dire need of Get Lucky Chips for an upcoming Get Lucky Event. If you don't need to purchase a different resource type from the seasonal shop like in this case, TriHard Scrolls are a great default purchase.
Not only are TriHard Scrolls useful in completing the Upgrade Event, they also allow you to earn a ton of default faces, unlocking you new sections in Streamer Talents, and buffing already existing sections.
Take a look at the Advanced Combat Guide to learn more about Streamer Talents and its impact on your combat progression.
By doing all of this, you are drastically improving your chances of having enough TriHard Scrolls and heroes to complete the Upgrade Event when it comes along. But before you get to working on completing the Upgrade Event, there's a bit more left to do.
Now that we've taken a look at the best ways to collect heroes and prepare for the Upgrade Event, let's put it all together into one strategy.
The full Upgrade Event strategy is as follows:
- Regularly purchase both discounted and undiscounted heroes and TriHard Scrolls from the Marketplace.
- Maximize the daily TriHard Scroll rewards that you get from the Campaign.
- Purchase TriHard Scrolls during an active seasonal event if you don't have anything else to purchase from the seasonal shop.
- The week before the rare Upgrade Event, equip the Upgrade Expert and Upgrade Bargain passive abilities on your active LuL pet, and equip the Mark of TriHard passive ability on your active Kappa pet.
- When working on completing the Upgrade Event, always use the 10x summon option when spending your TriHard Scrolls.
- If you are struggling to get the heroes needed to complete the event, as a last resort, get as many extra heroes as you can by spinning the Bad Luck Jackpot using 1-2 VIP Tickets per spin.
Your primary focus should be to complete the rare Upgrade Event on a regular basis as a free-to-play player. As long as you are following the steps above, you should be able to do this fairly easily.
The essence of it simply boils down to collecting as many heroes and TriHard Scrolls as possible in preparation for the Upgrade Event.
Once you have summoned as many heroes as possible using your TriHard Scrolls, it's important to check the dimmed out bar of the Upgrade Event to see if you have enough heroes to complete the entire event. If you are extremely close to having the full hero requirements, you should try spinning the Bad Luck Jackpot for a little while to see if that will give you enough heroes.
After all of this, if you still don't have enough heroes to complete the entire rare Upgrade Event, you should simply wait until the next rare Upgrade Event comes along. It is much more important that you complete the entire Upgrade Event and not just one small portion of it. The event artifact, hero, and pet rewards are extremely important!
Whenever you are approaching the next Upgrade Event, make sure to refer back to this guide and ensure you are doing everything you can to prepare for it!
